  • The minimum tenure for an NRE Recurring Deposit is 1 year, while for an NRO Recurring Deposit, it is 6 months.
  • Tenure can be extended in multiples of 3 months, with a maximum limit of 10 years.

Penalty & Charges on NRI RD Installments

  • A penalty of ₹12 per ₹1,000 is charged for delayed installments.
  • A part of a month is considered as a full month for penalty calculation.
  • The penalty is deducted from the total interest payable at maturity.

  • Interest is calculated based on the period the deposit remained with ICICI Bank.
